The HGHBA VP, Rose Anne O’Reilly, & HGHBA associates had to make the very difficult decision to cancel the 2018 Home Improvement & Outdoor Living Show that had been rescheduled for October 12th – 14th in the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. In her words, ‘I have been putting together HGHBA sponsored shows for the past 38 or 39 years & we have never had to cancel. There are so many companies that are scheduled to be exhibitors at this year’s show that are going through devastating flooding issues at this time & due to the forecast of flooding in the Georgetown area around the end of September & the first of October, there are even more scheduled exhibitors that will be experiencing much of the same. These company owners are focused on trying to save their business & minimize the flood damage & cannot focus on participating in a show. Although there are a number of companies that would be able to participate, the total number of exhibitors would not justify a strong show. We pray that our friends going through such a tragedy will get through this & continue to be successful in our community. We look forward to seeing everyone in our 2019 HGHBA Spring Home Show February 8th – 10th.”

We at Building Industry Synergy understand that this was a difficult decision, but ultimately the right thing to do for all involved. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the affected business owners and home owners throughout the Carolinas & we too look forward to being a part of a strong show in February 2019.
