“At our initial meeting with each customer, I ask them what they like and what they don’t like,” said Beeson, who established the company in February 2020 and has decades of experience in the field. “A lot of times people don’t know what they want. They’re really relying on me to figure out what’s going to complement their property based on the type of home they have. That’s when I really get to enjoy my work, because after asking them a few questions, I can put something together that’s really catered specifically to them.”
Customers often like they idea of landscape lighting, but they don’t realize how much of an impact is has on the project until it’s installed.
“Adding landscape lighting to a project eliminates the ‘I enjoy my landscaping until the sun goes down’ effect,” said Beeson. “They’re literally able to enjoy the outside of their property 24 hours a day. People are often extremely happy with the landscaping results, and then sunset comes and their whole property lights up and accents all that stuff they have done. It really blows them away.”
Beeson and his team of employees always arrive with a neat appearance and a professional attitude.
“Our customers really like having a landscaping option that offers not only high-quality service, but high professionalism,” said Beeson. “We exude professionalism. Everyone is polite, wears a uniform, and conducts themselves above board. That’s what sets us apart from other companies.”
Domestic landscape curbing is another service Stars and Stripes offers. As an alternative to the parking lot-style curbing standard outside many homes, Beeson offers a more sophisticated look.
“We do Moroccan natural stone landscape curbing,” said Beeson. “The standard stamped landscape curbing’s been out since the 1990s. This is totally different; it brings a more natural look to your landscape curbing. It’s a lot more detailed — we use tools, brushes, shadowing and contouring that looks more like natural stone. People love it.”
Much of Beeson’s customer base is new home owners that have recently moved into their home and desire landscaping that’s a cut above the standard builder-grade look.
“My work is tailored to the homeowner, and I shift the quality from basic plants to custom design.” Beeson said.
Stars and Stripes Landscaping is also dedicated to raising awareness and serving active military service members, veterans, and their families. Beeson is an ambassador for Mission 21, a nonprofit organization with a goal of ending veteran suicide. Beeson flies the Mission 21 flag at all Starts and Stripes project sites, has Mission 21 information available, and strives to maintain a workforce of at least 50 percent veterans.
